Three Ways House Hotel Green Policy
At Three Ways House we are committed to doing as much as we can to help protect our environment. We are currently working hard to achieve an award under the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
We have a Green Team in the Hotel managed by Assistant Manager - Amy Morris. The Green Team has a member of staff from each department dedicated to working on Green issues & implementing environmental polices to ensure that we are as “green” as possible.
Here are some of the areas we are working on & improving upon:
- Using Local suppliers and organic produce throughout the Hotel
- Promoting Local businesses & providing details of Local walks
- Installation of efficient loft insulation
- Encouraging staff to walk & car share when coming to work
- Recycling as much as possible – paper, cardboard, plastics & glass
- Reducing paper usage via emails & recycling of printer cartridges
- Changing to Energy Saving Bulbs where possible
- Installation of Water Butts & Drip irrigation system
- Composting for use in the Garden
- Encouraging wildlife within the grounds with use of Bird boxes, Birdbaths & improving the Pond environment
